Miller Park opens with a night game before more than 42,000 people, and the Cincinnati Reds™ are in town for the historic opening series. On the mound for the Brewers™ is the 6’7”, 250-pound righthander, Jeff D’Amico. The catcher is Henry Blanco, and the home plate ump is Bruce Froemming. Leading off for visiting Cincinnati is perennial All-Star Barry Larkin. For the record, the other players on the field are Richie Sexson at first, Ron Belliard at second, Jose Hernandez at short, Tyler Houston at third, and a left-to-right outfield of Geoff Jenkins, Jeffrey Hammonds and Jeromy Bernitz. The Brewers would send hometown fans home happy with a 5-4 win, with Sexson and Burnitz homering. It was, at long last, a night to remember in Milwaukee.
